What's the difference between a tetanus shot and Tdap?

Tdap is the tetanus shot adults usually get. It protects against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (whooping cough) in one vaccine, and it used to be called dTap.

Where can I get a tetanus shot near me in Calgary?

At Edgemont Family Pharmacy in NW Calgary. Book online or call 403-930-5806. If you've just been injured, go to an urgent care centre, emergency department, doctor's office or walk-in clinic instead.

MyHealth Alberta says it's best between 27 and 32 weeks. If you're outside that window, talk to your healthcare provider.
